Florence Express Inn

The shower was way better than the reviews I’d read. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and really nice.

I needed a hotel at short notice and booked and paid online, but they tried to charge me again in person. Luckily I caught it and got the money refunded. The room had a squashed roach on the wall, a ripped dirty chair, dirty towels, a damaged ceiling, and blankets with burn holes in all of them. The food from the “restaurant” was below average at best, and the whole place smelled of weed despite being listed as non-smoking. The only upside was the price, $54/night including taxes.

The room was shabby and had ants and cockroaches. There was dog poop everywhere, along with that marijuana smell. So disgusting.

The front desk attendant was sweet as pie, and the location was convenient. Still, it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. My room clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There were burn holes in the sheets, cover, and carpet, and a musty smell in the air. There were cockroaches everywhere, and I threw away all my clothes. All the constant drama, screaming, and shouting meant I now know everyone’s business. If you value your peace of mind and don’t like sleeping with roaches, stay away. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy there.
