Howard Johnson by Wyndham Florence

I stayed on my way north, then came back a week later on my way south. Both times, the rooms and front office were spotless, and two friendly evening clerks helped us get set up with Wi-Fi passwords and a safe parking spot. Breakfast was wonderful, with eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, and different kinds of biscuits. It's the best breakfast I've had at this type of hotel. Congrats to the manager for doing such a good job. This place is a gem in the hotel business.

For a value motel, they run a tight ship. The property was well kept, everything worked, and the clean room was comfortable. I felt secure, and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was good, and there are tons of restaurant choices close by, right near the exit. It made a great overnight stop on my drive home from Florida to Virginia, and was very good value. I'd go back.

We didn't expect much from such an affordable place, but it was clean, very comfortable, and more than adequate for our one night on the way to Florida. I highly recommend this motel and will definitely stay again.

Management were extremely rude. The owner and another older male staff member spoke to me in a belittling, unprofessional way, which made an already uncomfortable situation worse. Staff also knocked aggressively and repeatedly at checkout time. I understand checkout times, but that felt unnecessary and rude, especially since the hotel looked mostly empty. I travel a lot for construction work and have never been treated like this. The property is outdated and not very clean, and the shower's water flow was very poor. I would not recommend staying here. Zero starts if I could.
