Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndham Florence/Cincinn

We stayed at Microtel before an early flight and left our car there as part of the sleep, park, and fly arrangement. The rooms were dated and smelled a bit musty. Wednesday morning's airport shuttle was in terrible shape, rattling like it had a hole in the exhaust, with rubbish on the floor and empty cups in the holders. We gave them our return date and time, and I called the night before to confirm pickup. They said they'd come when we arrived at 5:30 a.m. I called after landing, but though the hotel was only 12 minutes away, the van took nearly half an hour. The same trash from Wednesday was still inside.

The rooms lacked basic supplies: I got two washcloths and no towels, and there was still trash and linen from the previous guest. I asked to move, but the next room had roaches and a half-finished kitchenette remodel. The floor by the sleeping area was soaking wet, apparently from a flooded pipe somewhere. In room 101, the heating unit wasn't installed properly, leaving a view straight outside to the ground. It was 23 degrees out. I gave up on asking for another move or a refund and left to find somewhere more comfortable. The guest service was terrible and unprofessional. I'd make this a last option, and I won't return or recommend it.

The whole stay was a disaster. In the room, the bathroom door was leaning against the wall instead of hanging on hinges, the sink had no drain lines and soaked me when I tried to wash my hands, and the walls had large holes and mold. I never got clean towels or toilet paper. We paid for a suite with a refrigerator, and although I told the staff I needed to keep my insulin cold, there wasn't one. The ice machine had reportedly been broken for over a year. What they called breakfast was filthy and unattended, and the one waffle maker only worked some of the time. I didn't feel safe with the hallway lights out, and the missing coaxial cables meant I couldn't watch TV. I've stayed at the Microtel in dry ridge ky and it was amazing. The lady at the desk was nice, but Florence ky can do better.

I stayed at Microtel with friends over the weekend. The man at the front desk asked if I was single, and after I said I had a boyfriend and wasn't interested, he kept asking personal questions. The next day he was rude and hostile, telling me to “get in my room and don’t come out.” Later that night, he refused to give me a room key. As a paying guest, I felt intimidated, uncomfortable, and unsafe. His behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional. I expect it to be investigated and addressed, and I won't be coming back.
