Budget Host Inn

We left three days early, after just one night. I felt the hotel was a scam. We booked through Priceline, but the property was misrepresented. There was visible drug activity, loitering, and constant disturbances outside our door at night, none of which had been disclosed. The next morning, police were at the property responding to a serious incident. I personally saw a body bag in the street and several officers securing the area.

The place smelled terrible and didn’t look like the photos. The room was dirty, with mold in the bathroom and holes in the walls. The door wouldn’t lock. Roaches crawled over the TV and walls. I checked out five minutes after checking in.

Dead cockroaches were all over the place, the bedsheets were disgusting, the floors and bathroom were filthy, and the TV didn’t work. Heavy cigarette smoke clung to our clothes. Luckily, there was a spare sleeping bag in our car, so we slept on top of the sheets in that. It’s an actual roach motel. I’ll be back because I’m cheap, but know what you’re getting into.

We had two rooms with three people in each, but each room had only two bath towels and one face cloth. When I asked at the desk for more towels and the missing pillowcase for a pillow that had none, staff weren’t welcoming and refused to help. They said desk staff weren’t allowed to give out towels or linens, and I’d have to return the next morning to ask housekeeping. It was late after a full day of driving, and we just wanted showers, so I was frustrated at not having enough towels. The housekeeper gave us a hard time the next morning but eventually brought towels, though not the pillowcase. The rooms were in bad shape, dirty, and smelled like dirty feet. There was mold on the walls and in the shower, a broken tub patched with duct tape, broken doors, and bugs everywhere.
