Quality Inn Florida City - Gateway to the Keys

We’ve returned here many times over the years, often while traveling to or from a cruise or heading to the Keys. It’s become a familiar home base for us, and we even send packages there before we arrive because the staff are always happy to hold them. The outdoor pool is a relaxing spot, and the accommodations are comfortable and well kept. The location is lovely, and the place feels quiet and welcoming. Nick, Maritza, Aadi, Sam, and Arlan are the reason we keep coming back. They’re friendly, professional, and consistently go out of their way to help. We’ve had great service everywhere from resorts to quick overnight stops, but this staff stands out. Highly recommend.

After spending two hours stuck in traffic leaving the Keys, we needed food and somewhere to stay, but had no reservation. Maritza at the desk was professional and found us a nice room at a discounted, affordable rate. She also gave us a map with discounts for some nearby restaurants, which was very welcome. The hotel sits near several restaurants and the outlets, making it a handy stop before or after the Keys. Our room was in the interior corridor, and we noticed new carpets and other signs of renovation. The property is well maintained, and the staff were helpful throughout. I’d recommend Quality Inn.

The free breakfast and parking, pool, and food truck in the lot all made for a great stay. My room was clean, the bed was good, and the lighting worked well. Nick at the front desk went out of his way to help, and the evening desk gentleman and breakfast staff were great too. I had to leave early on Friday because of the weather, checking out around 5 pm after booking seven nights. That last evening was the most expensive of the booking, so I hope I can get a full or partial refund for it. Aside from that, everything was great, and I’d happily stay again.

The grounds have lovely tropical tikis and plants, plus a small rock garden with a fountain and a picnic area with a large grill. We’ve enjoyed sitting by the heated pool, even when it was 64 degrees, and you can see how hard the staff work to keep the place nice. Everyone we’ve dealt with, from housekeeping and maintenance to the breakfast hostess, office staff, managers, and owners, has been kind and friendly. The rooms are always spotless, the beds comfortable, and the property well maintained. I’ve stayed many times and the service has been consistently excellent. This is my favorite Quality Inn, and I’m looking forward to returning.
