The Mansion

It feels secure, but the rules and constant camera monitoring made me feel like a kid living with my parents again. The owner seems to watch the many cameras all the time, and it feels as if your every move is recorded. Parents aren’t even that strict. Visitors are absolutely not allowed, and if one is spotted, they’re told to leave immediately, not asked. Keep your key with you or you’ll be locked outside until someone lets you in. There never seems to be anyone who works there around, even though you’re definitely being watched. The place itself is very nice and clean, and the staff are friendly.

We felt very comfortable here, and the friendly staff were helpful. Our Yellow Room had a king bed, a kitchen area with a microwave, fridge, dishes, and a table and chair, plus a large bathroom and big-screen TV. The A/C worked well and got cold. There’s also a spacious shared living room and kitchen. Coffee is available, though we brought our own fruit and snacks. The pool was being worked on, and remodeling is underway. The neighborhood looks working class, but don’t let the outside put you off. An alligator farm and airboat rides are nearby, Biscayne bay is 20 mins away, and "Robert is here" fruit stand is a couple miles away. The room was very clean.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were really friendly. Great place.
