Comfort Suites Airport

The hotel was nice and clean, but it was the loudest one I’ve ever stayed in. You could hear everything through the walls, as if they were insulated with tissue paper. I know they can’t control who checks in, but we couldn’t sleep.

We planned to stay in Flowood overnight because my daughter had an early dentist appointment. Then my bank called at 7:30 in the morning to ask if the hotel trying to charge my card three times was me. We weren’t even there yet. I called and they confirmed that’s what they do, so I canceled.

I come to the Jackson area about 4-5 times a year and stay here every time. It’s in the heart of greater Flowood, but still very quiet, safe, and clean, with excellent staff. There’s a gym and pool, free coffee and lemonade, and a little shop at the front desk with candy, chips, frozen food, juice, and soft drinks. I don’t usually eat breakfast here, but the one time I did, there was a big spread: cereal, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, breads, plus eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and hash browns on the hot bar. They’ve been making upgrades over the years to make the place more comfortable and safe. It was a little dated when I first started coming several years ago. I like that restaurants and shops are within a mile. My only issue was the bed in room 107, which was uncomfortable and squeaked whenever I tried to turn over. Annoying, but not enough to stop me staying here.

They were rude and hung up on me. I’d told them our rooms needed to be near each other because my brother is nearly blind, but they initially put us on separate floors and said that was close. They moved us to the same floor, but the rooms were at opposite ends of the building, then charged extra for switching them. The showerhead in my room was broken and nasty. My brother’s room had no toilet paper or soap.
