Quality Inn Forsyth Safety Training Center

I was laughing at the reviews while my wife went to get our room. We were just passing through, and the roughly $80 a night price is what brought us here. It seems to be an old hotel or motel redone on a budget, and it still feels old. The room was decent enough, though the fridge didn't work and the place wasn't the cleanest, even if they seemed to try. I waited to pull back the covers, wondering what stains I'd find and whether they'd look like the ones in the posted photos. There was a big one, and I was in tears again. It felt safer with quite a few people there on a Friday night, though the property is tucked away in a secluded area. The low price probably draws crowds to the motel next door, which seems to house local residents on low incomes. Would I come back? Probably, because of the price. But if I found a comparable deal somewhere else, I'd likely go there.

I paid $80 for the night and got accused of damaging a bottom part of the office chair and the hot water shower handle, which were already broken when I entered the room. They tried to charge me for both when I was leaving the next morning. I hadn't reported the chair because I never used it, so how would I know it was broken? I told them about the shower handle the next morning, and they went to check. Suddenly the office chair wheels broke off too, and they said I had damaged that as well. The reason I didn't say anything that night was that it was 10:00 pm, and I was ready to shower and sleep. I had arrived at motel at 9:00 pm. The customer service was very bad, and they used horrible language toward me. They seem to be scamming people so they don't have to pay to fix rooms that are old and poorly maintained.

We stopped for one night while passing through, and it was a good short stay. The room was clean, and check-in was pleasant with no issues. The roads to get there twist around in a strange way, but you can make it.

At 5:00 am, the front desk person hadn't made the coffee yet. I asked if it would be ready soon, but he just said no and went back to his phone. These rooms are at the low end of Quality Inn hotels, and I'll be taking this one off my Gold status list.
