The rooms had very little bedding, poor quality linens, and no pillows beyond throw pillows. In the bathroom there were just two thin towels, with no hand towels, washcloths, or bath mat. Dust was heavy, broken shower parts had to be cleared away to avoid cuts, and the breakfast was inedible. Outside the room, there were multiple trip and fall hazards and blocked common areas that seemed like definite fire code violations. I think the Wythe County Public Health Department should follow up. This is the filthiest hotel in the Hilton inventory. If you're traveling on I-81, avoid it completely. I understand management may be changing, and the lack of upkeep was obvious. I'm shocked Hilton would allow this. It makes me wonder whether they screen management partners for management ability, hygiene, cleanliness standards, or integrity.

I arrived at 3 pm after 14 hours of driving, but my room wasn't ready. When I finally got in, it was still dirty, like the rest of the hotel. The bed was made, but the linens were stained, the mattress had stains, the carpets were filthy, and there was hair all over the sink, toilet, and shower. The shower shelves were barely attached and the glass doors were dirty. Water damage had badly damaged or removed hallway ceilings, and the room ceiling was discolored and damaged too. The hallway smelled awful, and I crossed my fingers every time I had to use the elevator. The fourth-floor ice machine didn't work and was covered in mold; the third-floor one worked, but also had mold. I won't stay here again. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Unless they do major repairs and cleaning, don't take room 419.

Daicy at the front desk greeted me with a wonderful smile. She was pleasant, well spoken, and very helpful. My room was clean and fresh, and the bathroom was spotless with plenty of shower pressure. Everything worked, and I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in town for work.

The location is convenient on a route we travel often, so that's why we stay here. The rooms are decent, but could use attention, with laminate peeling off the cabinets. Breakfast was low quality. The hard boiled eggs seemed either spoiled or a week old, and the coffee tasted like brown water.
