Four Points by Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port

The advertised cruise shuttle costs $15 per person, which is two to three times what an Uber costs. We took an Uber Premier SUV for $26. That was the most frustrating part. The location is pretty good, with nearby food and stores for last-minute cruise essentials, but the room needed repairs. The TV didn’t work, the shower barely worked, and there was hair on the shower wall. On checkout day, we came back from breakfast at 10am and they were already trying to turn the room over, even though checkout is at 11am.

The staff were good, but I have no idea how anyone signed off on the work in these remodels. Maybe someone decided it was good enough and kept it cheap. We met other guests in the elevator, and their supposedly renovated room sounded just as bad. I checked in Feb 01/2026 after a cruise for one night. These comments are for the hotel owners and senior management. The hotel advertises new renovated rooms. The carpets, counter tops and bathroom furnishings looked refreshed or new, but the furniture was ratty. The sofa looked like cats lived on it. The bed sagged and had no support, and the road noise was almost unbearable, probably because of old windows. Each room had an AC/heater that rattled and sounded like a diesel truck when running. Even the repainted doors were peeling, and in some spots they’d painted over things without patching them. Then the ceilings! OMG, they looked like scenes from the movies Alien. See pics.

I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels for work, but the bar is what made this one memorable. Fran, the bartender, was great. He remembered everything, was quick to help, and pointed me toward things to do and places to go. I had an amazing time. Wonderful job.

The hotel is really clean, the breakfast fresh and the staff superb. I’ve stayed here many times, both as airline crew and as a tourist, and have always felt welcome. Bella at the front desk treated me so well and made sure I had a great short stay in Fort Lauderdale. Greatly recommended!
