Inn Leather Guest House

Inn Leather has some appealing features: the pool is comfortably warm in the daytime sun, each room has a free assigned parking space out front, and the grounds have walking paths, benches, slings, and an out-of-shape outdoor gym. There’s a sling in every room. It’s also the most affordable of the gay resorts. Breakfast is simple, with coffee, OJ, sweetened yoghurt, and assorted breakfast or granola bars. Remember to ask for daily towel or sheet changes. But since our previous stay, the place clearly needs serious cleaning and maintenance. The overhead lights and ceiling fan didn't work. They tried repairing the electrical themselves, then called an electrician, who couldn't fix the junction box and left exposed wires hanging from the wall and spare parts on the sofa. I appreciated their effort to make the room livable at night, since we were there in winter with long nights. The workers will probably get it repaired before the next guests arrive. The TV remote also failed when we got there, so they replaced the TV, which was impressive Southern hospitality and service I hadn't received elsewhere. Unfortunately, the replacement's HDMI ports didn't work. We were grateful they gave us a one-third refund for the room situation. The hot tub wasn't working either, and may be permanently closed. I can't tell if there's a pattern, but it had also been closed for repairs the last two times we stayed. The pool and its benches under the thatched hutch are the resort's standout feature. Pack twice as many jock straps as you think you'll need.

I enjoyed many of the amenities, and the staff were very accommodating. While walking along the outer property boundary, I ran into a very good friend on his birthday. He'd rented the dungeon, and it turned into quite a birthday for him.

Doug and everyone else on staff were amazing, and the property was clean and laid out nicely. I had a great room and got to look at some of the other room options in person. I had a great time at Inn Leather and will definitely come back the next time I'm in Fort Lauderdale.

I'm local, so I love being able to get a day pass here. The staff are really friendly, and so are the guests. I'm very excited for my first stay.
