Allure Suites

The best thing this place has going for it is the location. Our 2beds/2baths unit on the 5th floor had a strong humidity smell, extremely old furniture, and a dirty kitchen counter area. The rooms were a good size, but very old-fashioned, and the dishwasher was broken and unusable. The bathrooms, floor, and shower tiles were clean, but the stained living room chairs were disgusting.

The only thing that redeemed Allure Suites was the friendly, helpful staff. In 8 decades of travel, this was unequivocally the worst place I’ve stayed. Despite the descriptions and photos, it’s a dump. The suites have 2 rooms, a bedroom and a living/kitchen area, but the building looks as if it went through several hurricanes without repairs. Paint inside and out was faded and peeling, and the carpets were filthy with huge stains everywhere. There was no breakfast, just cold, stale coffee from a pump vacuum. Don’t book here.

My family and I have been living here since July, paying every day. Before we left for out of state for Thanksgiving, my spouse asked supervisor Claudia, the manager’s daughter, if we could pay Wednesday for Monday and Tuesday. She checked with the manager, then told him that was fine. But when we all left carrying our luggage, they assumed we were leaving without paying and tried to charge my locked card earlier than agreed. We called and were told they’d gone into our room and packed our things to move us out. Then the manager said she was moving us to another room, and later said she was raising the rate because we supposedly tried to leave without paying, which wasn’t true. We’d been told after a few months we could get a discount to $88 a day because of our long stay. The manager offered it, then told staff not to give us toilet paper, wash cloths, or towels because we got a discount. When we returned from our family trip, she’d told the front desk not to let us book a room or get our things. I had to call the police. There’s more leading up to this, but this is just the beginning of what happened.

Luzzy & Kelly were amazing, with the best customer service and easily the best stay I’ve had. You have to try the Everglades swamp water in Ft Myers hidden spot, it’s absolutely amazing!!!
