Travelodge by Wyndham Fort Myers Airport

The rooms were clean and the front desk staff were great. It’s not a ritz-carlton, but for the price it’s a good hotel. There’s a Waffle House right behind it and the interstate is next door.

It has a comfortable, home-like feel and reasonable rates. The location is convenient for the airport, with lots of restaurants nearby. The front desk staff were especially friendly and courteous. I’d recommend it for a pleasant stay.

I seriously thought about sleeping in my car. The mattress had a dip in the middle and I could feel its springs poking through, so we kept rolling toward each other. On top of that, the air conditioner rattled all night, loud enough that I think the room nextdoor could hear it. We couldn’t sleep. We asked to move, but were told there were no rooms left, even though the place was nowhere near full. That was the worst night I’ve ever had in a hotel. Shouldn't Travel Lodge have minimum standards they have to meet?

The room was shabby, and the place is very run down. The switch by the door turned on a light at the far end of the room, leaving the entry dark. There were no lights on either side of the bed, no USB ports nearby, and the outlet by the bed was almost impossible to reach because of the stationary headboard. There wasn’t an outlet on the other side either. No closet, spare blankets, or pillows, and the bathroom had only a small soap and shampoo. They overcharged us too. Outrageously priced for such a shabby hotel. I don’t recommend it.
