Town and Country Motel

The owners were kind, friendly people and even recommended somewhere to eat. For the price, this place is a total gem. You never know with mom-and-pop motels, but these owners are doing a fine job. This is a simple, no-frills motel, and my room, 102, was very clean. No bugs or stains, and everything worked. The sheets were soft, the mattress was new, and there was no carpet, so it was easy to see the floor was clean. It also had a microwave, fridge, and a good-sized TV. The toilet looked new and the bath was spotless.

At about $55 plus tax on a Wednesday in April 2025, T & C was a fair deal. It’s rough around the edges, but clean and bug-free where it counts, and the Wifi worked okay. For the details, some towels were stained and the bath mat had holes. The retiled shower didn’t slope right, so it drained poorly. There was no bathroom fan, and the window wouldn’t open, so smells had nowhere to go. The parking lot is gravel rather than paved, and the fine loose gravel made backing my motorcycle into a spot a chore.

I’m here for a 13-week travel assignment in Fort Stockton. The motel isn’t the cutest place in town, but it meets all my needs and is affordable. They clean my room every day and wash and fold my laundry each week at no extra charge. The customer service and price are hard to beat. I’m very pleased 😊

For a trip to Big Bend, make this your stop. The value is why I’m giving it five stars. The room has exactly what a room should have for a great price, so don’t expect anything fancy, soft towels, coffee makers, or even a kitchen area. The beds are firm and the sheets are clean.
