Hilton Fort Wayne at the Grand Wayne Convention Center

I won’t be coming back. My room was dusty, the pillow had a suspicious brown mark, and there were large water damage stains along the side walls. Paint and ceiling material were peeling in the bathroom. The hallway smelled strongly of smoke, too. When I politely asked a front desk employee about the $15 parking charge for one car, the response was incredibly rude. I work in customer service and understand people can have off days, but it was still unpleasant. The city garage ticket costs only $7, so the hotel’s markup seemed odd. I thought this was supposed to be a nice hotel.

This was my second conference here. The staff are professional and polite, and Tyler was especially helpful. He made sure the classroom service was right every day and stayed on top of cleaning and putting everything away.

We reserved three rooms for employees attending a conference. One had bed bugs, a really upsetting and traumatic problem. The hotel reimbursed that night, but the employee had to find somewhere else to stay late at night. They had no other rooms available, which was probably for the best since she no longer felt comfortable staying there.

The hotel itself is just okay, a bit old and in need of renovation. Ashley in guest services is the reason I’m giving it five stars. She’s a star and so accommodating!
