It's a beautiful hotel, and I'm usually proud to place guests here. I haven't stayed myself, but I arrange rooms several times a year and deal with the front desk each time. Mary, I believe, has been friendly and helpful when I've encountered her. The last couple of visits, though, I've dealt with Andrea, who is very unfriendly and somewhat rude. She's not pleasant on the phone either. We like to welcome our guests with a basket of snacks in their room, and that seems to annoy her. Today, after 4 p.m., I was told to leave one on the counter so someone could bring it up when they came to help. Check-in is at 3, so I asked whether they didn't have a room ready. She all but rolled her eyes, went to her computer, and eventually said they did have one and would take the basket up when someone came to help. I don't know if she treats everyone that way or if it's just me and my baskets. Either way, she spoils the experience for me. I'll place people elsewhere whenever I can because I wouldn't want them dealing with her if a problem came up. Why can't the front desk have someone who's happy to see you and accommodate you, like at other hotels? Very disappointing.

The location is great and I loved the hotel and its rooms, but bedtime was another story. Those were the hardest beds I've ever slept on. I woke up in pain several times, and now the drive home should be fun.

The staff are really nice and helpful, and the location is fantastic. I like having a bar on site with basic food to order. Breakfast could be better, but this is still my go-to hotel when I'm in Fort Wayne.

The place was lively the other night, and the food wasn't bad. My steak arrived a bit cold, and the french fries were under-portioned, though the salad was good and they offered two dressing choices. Kristin was super friendly and kept smiling, with lots of menu suggestions. Service could still have been better: she didn't refill our water or even ask if we wanted any, and it wasn't especially busy.
