WoodSpring Suites Fort Wayne

After staying here for a week or so, the place has grown on me. It’s quaint, and could work if you’re passing through or need a home away from home, as long as you don’t expect it to be too much like a Holiday Inn. My first stay got off to a rocky start. The room was in poor shape, to say the least, and customer service could be better, though most of the staff are great. After I told management about the room, they moved me and took a few dollars off. As a loyal customer and a retired retail manager of 30 years, I think the compensation could’ve been much better for the situation, but I’m glad they at least tried. These days I’m happy to say it’s improved.

I gave them another chance tonight, but at check-in they refused to give me a room because I’d been honest in the email they sent asking about my stay. The first time I came for a night, the heat in my room didn’t work, so they moved me to another room with a disgusting fridge. I stuck it out until morning and checked out. This is a horrible company.

There was blood on the bathroom door and an unidentifiable brown mess near the bathroom ceiling. The room blinds were broken. The front desk lady was very professional and helped fix my booking. She deserves five stars, for sure.

I checked out immediately because the room was unacceptable. There was a hole in the carpet, stains on the walls, missing cupboard doors, and a smell like a bunch of wet dogs. They do have cleaning staff, but the whole hotel needs a complete upgrade. Disgusting.
