The location is great, and the service was good. We enjoyed the breakfast when we had it. The buildings are run-down and show their age, and it felt like cleaning only happened occasionally. There was glitter scattered across our floor, still there on day two, and just four pillows for three beds. At night, people yelled in the parking lot, cars cruised through with loud music, and people hung around there. If you want to feel like you rented a place in the projects for the weekend, give it a try.

The person at the desk was helpful and cancelled my reservation after I explained the problems, so the customer service was excellent. The property itself looked poorly maintained outside and borderline poor inside, and it felt kind of gross. There was an odor in the room, and the AC was extremely loud without moving any air. I checked the closet because of the noise and found it dirty, dusty, and disgusting. The rest of the room was worn down, not terribly filthy, but not somewhere I’d want to stay for one night, let alone three.

The room was comfortable, and the important areas were clean. There were some colorful marks on the wall, but a damp cloth took them off easily. The staff have been friendly. At night, though, there seem to be some unsavory people hanging around the hotel, so I wouldn’t stay here alone.

We got the room we wanted, and the location is perfect. We haven’t needed housekeeping, but the people working next door politely checked whether we did. The front desk guy last night had no personality and mumbled everything. I also wish the room smelled cleaner. It was marked non-smoking, but had a funky odor like someone had smoked in it.
