Holiday Inn DFW South by IHG

My flight was delayed and I ended up stranded overnight in Dallas. I didn’t get from the airport to Holiday INN DFW Airport South until 2am, but the staff were kind and helpful through the whole ordeal and got me straight into a room for a great night’s sleep. The hotel is lovely, with comfortable beds and a spacious room and bathroom. Everyone we spoke with was so helpful and lovely. I’d recommend it for a layover in Dallas FW.

After arriving, check in with the gentleman at the front desk was quick and easy. He offered to book our shuttle back to the airport the next day, and since our flight was really late, he also offered us a bit more time before checkout. Earlier, we’d called from the airport to ask about a shuttle, and our driver was there about 15 minutes later to help load our bags. We had a lovely chat on the way. Later I went to the bar and restaurant and had another nice conversation with Michael, barkeep extrodinaire. I ordered the salmon and a Philly cheese steak burger, and both were delicious. Our room was nicely appointed, super clean, and relaxing. The bed and bedding were really comfortable. My husband and I were really impressed with evening. The staff were lovely, and I highly recommend it, 10/10!

I’m a Diamond Elite member and stay 175 nights a year, so I’ve experienced a lot of hotels. This is one of the top IHG properties I’ve stayed at. A flight issue forced me onto a very early flight, and I arrived at 10am. The attendant listened to my situation and kindly let me check in much earlier than the allotted time, with a smile. Everyone, from the front desk to the owner and even maintenance, asked how my stay was. The rooms were very clean and had all the latest amenities. I’m very happy with this property and would recommend it to business and family travelers.

Breakfast was delicious, and the server in the morning was welcoming. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. I also had a great experience with Ralph, who helped me arrange the hotel shuttle over the phone and then checked me in when I arrived. At the bar that night, Michael was the best bartender ever. He’s a natural at hospitality. I watched him keep drinks full, get along with everyone, and tell stories with a great sense of humor. The hotel was warm, welcoming, comfortable, and conveniently close to the airport.
