Hyatt Place Fort Worth/TCU

We’ll definitely come back. The team at Lot 12, both upstairs and downstairs, was so helpful, and the breakfast staff were great. The hotel is right by TCU, where you can take a walk and enjoy the surroundings. Honestly, one of the best hotel stays I’ve had, with amazing service.

The team here clearly takes pride in making guests feel welcome. Nessa remembers people at breakfast and goes out of her way to make everyone feel at home. At the front desk, Desh and Romero greet guests warmly and make check-in easy, even late at night or between meetings. I’ve stayed at Hyatt Place Fort Worth / TCU several times for work, and it’s consistently one of my favorite hotels in the area. The rooms are modern and spacious, the Wi-Fi is dependable, and the location works well for both TCU and downtown meetings. A great choice for business or leisure in Fort Worth.

The front desk staff were especially helpful and friendly, which made the stay even nicer. My room matched the pictures and felt comfortable and well cared for. The hotel was very clean, too. I’d happily stay again.

The party downstairs was loud enough that I could hear the DJ and feel the music rattling the floor. My A/C rattled too, and the hallway smelled like mildew. For nearly $300 a night, the rooms weren’t worth it, especially with parking charged separately and breakfast left out of the stay. You can find better prices and service at several other DFW hotels. I was in town for a local art festival, where the hotel offered artists a 20% discount. They sent me to a third-party booking link, then refused to honor the discount because I used that very booking route they’d provided. It took five days to get a response. Jessie Cole, Director of Sales and Marketing, first wrote that they couldn’t apply it, even though Jessie had given me the discount information. Malinda Hedenskog, assistant general manager, said the same thing. Haley Wellington, the Guest Service manager, still hadn’t replied after six days. If that’s how long she takes to communicate, what can you expect from her staff? They were deceptive with artists and wouldn’t honor the offer they used to get us to book. It reflects badly on Hyatt. I travel around the country and stay at plenty of hotels, but I won’t book with Hyatt again. I’ll tell other artists so they don’t make the same mistake. It feels like corporate greed has taken over: they care about making a little more money, not the guest experience. The stay itself wasn’t much better. Hyatt has lost my future business.
