La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort Worth City View

The room was spotless and ready before check-in, and I especially liked the spacious layout and good-sized closet. The bathroom was extremely clean, and the glass-door shower was great and relaxing after a long day. I was hoping for a city view, but didn't get one, and that didn't take away from the stay. The hotel was well maintained, the staff were welcoming, and my visit to the La Quinta Inn & Suites (City View) Fort Worth was comfortable and enjoyable. I'd stay again when I'm back in the area.

Lacey at the front desk can make your stay. She's funny, helpful, and always checking that guests are doing well. I've never seen her sitting around, she's always cleaning or working on something. The lobby looks great and smells amazing when she's there, and the coffee was good. The overnight woman is also so sweet, helpful, and upbeat. The place is good overall, with great parking and a safe location surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Breakfast is good, too. But the rooms could be cleaner, there are small maintenance problems they need to keep on top of, and there aren't any vending machines or in-house snack and drink shops. Trinity at the front desk is lazy and needs to be more professional in her behavior and the way she speaks to guests. I also wish staff paid more attention to smoking in rooms. Whoever was next to me kept smoking marijuana, and the smell bothered me. I'd stay again, but hope they improve the housekeeping.

The service was wonderful, but I got up in the middle of the night and left. I've never done that at a hotel before. The bed was hard as a rock, the room smelled old, the shower was nasty, and the bed felt like it might have had bed bugs. Maybe a different location would be better, but this one could be a lot better.

The room was clean, staff kind and helpful, and the area felt reasonably safe and was quiet most of the time. It was good value for what we got. We were a little wary because the Google reviews looked scary even though Expedia reviews were great. I'm not convinced the Google reviews were genuine. My wife, son, and I stayed two nights. There were two issues: the hot water was out one morning, which staff said might be because too many people were staying at once. It was back the next day. Also, Guitars & Cadillacs was open late Friday into Saturday with loud music, though that wasn't a problem Thursday night.
