The clean bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and both check-in and checkout were quick. The room was clean and the bed comfortable on my first stay here. Large lights shone through the windows, and the curtains didn’t block them fully. The breakfast area was clean, but breakfast itself was dismal. All I could get was a cup of orange juice. They keep deposits, which was annoying but understandable. I’d stay again because of the price.

I accidentally booked this hotel thinking it was the b one next door, and the complaints I made were met with “we don’t have that” or “we don’t do that.” I expected more from a Mariott business, but they obviously don’t check on their franchises. We had three rooms. They looked clean, but my sister got multiple bug bites, and I can’t say what was biting her. Women were doing business outside our rooms, and it seemed to happen regularly. The breakfast was a joke: bad coffee, watered-down orange juice, a waffle machine but no protein, cereal one day with no milk, and toast on Sunday but not on weekdays. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

At first arrival, the room looked very clean. On our second night, after getting back late from the state fair, we found cockroaches all inside the cabinet by the refrigerator and microwave, as well as underneath and around them. It was disgusting, especially with food kept there. We might have asked for a refund, but we were out of town and couldn’t afford another place upfront over the weekend. We’d already been charged $400, and getting the money back to our card would’ve taken 3-5 business days. There was no do not disturb sign in the room either. During all four days, staff came in every day, made the bed, took the trash, and moved our luggage around. That felt really weird and rude.

The pool and surrounding area looked clean and spacious, though we didn’t get a chance to swim. Our room was fine, and the microwave and fridge both worked. The kids weren’t impressed with the limited TV channels. I appreciated having elevators so we could take our things upstairs without hauling them on the stairs. The lot was lit pretty well at night, but there were lots of construction vehicles parked there because of work up the street. I accidentally booked a smoking room for myself and my kids. The front desk guy had checked that choice with me, and when I said it was a mistake, he quickly switched us to a non-smoking room. I skipped getting ice around 10 p.m. because the room where it was kept was really dark and felt a little sketchy. Our view was just another hotel and some local businesses, or a wall/building. The rooms had complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and lotion dispensers.
