Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Worth North

It was a nice stay away from home, with a clean room and very nice staff. My only issue was that I asked for a non-smoking room, but ours smelled. I called downstairs and they confirmed it was non-smoking. When I left that morning, though, I noticed the room didn’t have the non-smoking sign that the others had. The room itself was nice and clean.

It was very loud here because the location is right by the highway, and I’ve never been treated so poorly. I won’t stay here again. The front desk agents were rude and arrogant. I’d gone three days without letting them service my room, then the overnight agent basically ordered me to let them in. Housekeeping came into my room three times despite the no-service sign. Once, I was naked and getting ready to shower, and stopped her before she came all the way in. I also left my key in the room by accident while I was out. When I asked for another, the guy smirked at me. Hilton never treats people badly.

The room was fairly clean, but the heating and air-conditioning smelled like urine. We canceled two days because of the weather coming in and didn’t want to get stranded at a hotel. The night clerk didn’t know how to do his job, check us out, or refund us for those days.

The only small positive was that it stayed quiet at night. I felt uncomfortable during my stay because the staff weren’t hospitable, and the atmosphere didn’t feel safe or welcoming. The place is under construction, something that wasn’t clearly disclosed when I booked, and there isn’t a proper lobby. Breakfast was advertised as included, but they only had waffles and syrup, with no drinks or variety, nowhere near a proper breakfast. This was one of my worst hotel experiences. I wouldn’t recommend it until major improvements are made.
