Days Inn Fountain Valley

At first the motel seemed okay, but we paid $10 more than the posted price, then lost another $10 from our deposit over a dirty towel. They said it was ruined and wouldn't come clean, but it was just dirt from our feet after a shower. A bit of bleach would've taken care of it. I told the desk clerk what I thought as politely as I could, so she wouldn't find another reason to keep the remaining $40. They charge ten dollars for every dirty towel, so be warned if you use theirs. I've never been so disappointed with a business. They should be ashamed to take people's money because they're too lazy to do their jobs. I'm never going back to this unfortunate motel. 😤😤😤

We stayed about a week, and the freeway noise right outside the window was constant. The room rate kept changing, too. After I had an accident on the sheet, they charged me $10. The second time, I tried cleaning it with soap and water myself since I wear Depends. When we left the room for half an hour, they called to say I'd peed the bed, and we had to check out. I'm 83 and have some problems. I offered to pay, but that didn't seem to matter. The way they spoke to me was very rude, as if I had done it on purpose.

There was a lot of freeway noise, and the black light on the “cat walk” behind the hotel, between it and the freeway, made looking out the window creepy. Someone knocked on both my window and door at the same time. I tried calling the office, but the room phone didn't work, so I called my boyfriend and he called them. They had also put a sticker over my peephole, so I couldn't see who was outside. The employee told my husband I was basically tripping and nobody was there, but someone was. That area is getting worse and worse. The staff were rude, and they charge you $50 if you're 20 minutes late checking out.

I grew up in FV and came into town this week, choosing this place for the lower price. They told us the deposit would only be kept for stained towels, but then took the full $150 over a vape wrapper in the trash can. Absolutely ludicrous. Definitely do not go here.
