Baymont by Wyndham Franklin/Cool Springs

During the ice storm and power outage, the manager was extremely kind about working with us on whether we might need to check out, depending on when the power came back. It was a nice place with good staff and a great hot breakfast. I’m very thankful for the help and had a great experience in a difficult situation.

This is a basic hotel, and the price was a real plus during a very busy week. The staff were helpful, the rooms clean, and the beds comfortable, although they sit high off the ground. Breakfast was the usual, nothing special, but it’s free. One caution in the bathroom: the shower floor is slippery, so put a towel down before turning on the water. There’s no exhaust fan, so go elsewhere if you need to stink up the bathroom. If we’re back in town for a night or two and this is still the cheapest option, we’d stay again.

I keep this hotel in my iPhone contacts and make a point of staying here on the way to Florida. Baymont Inn & Suites Franklin deserves all the praise I can give it. The staff are thoughtful, kind, and helpful, and the rooms are clean and stocked with plenty of towels and amenities. They also offer free breakfast with a wide selection for different dietary needs.

Service, location, and rooms were good. Breakfast was another story: at 6:30 in the morning it was already cold and hard, and my husband and I couldn’t choke it down. It almost seemed like it had been sitting out since the day before.
