Days Inn Franklin

Three separate times, hotel staff stood with their faces against the glass, shading their eyes with their hands to peer into my family's room. They never knocked once. I recorded the third time on video.

The parking lot was covered in sheer ice and nearly impossible to get around. The Quality Inn across the street had cleared its lot perfectly, with no ice. The desk clerk was virtual, which was ridiculous. Also, this isn't a hotel, it's a motel with outside entrances only. Don't stay here.

We stayed at the beginning of October to visit my grandmother, and the room was filthy. The mattress was badly warped, like someone very heavy had been lying on one side for a long time. There were stains all over the carpet, and the walls looked as if they'd never been cleaned. They put a hold on our card before check-in, then charged us for the room too. We were told the hold would be returned 7-10 days after checkout, but it's now been more than three weeks and we still haven't received that money. We'll never stay here again. Find somewhere else. You'll be charged almost double for the room, told it's just a hold, and then never get the money back. The room wasn't even worth $20 a night.

The motel staff were the rudest I’ve ever dealt with. Not one interaction had any politeness. The man who cleans the rooms just stands and stares at you until it gets uncomfortable, and when I asked for a top blanket he wanted to barge into the room. They quote one rate over the phone and a different one in person. They also have “long term” guests, even though that’s opposed. And you can bet the staff stand around talking about you in their own language.
