West Motel

The room was dirty, there was no hot water, and the place was a dump. Getting the price sorted out was a hassle too. At first I was quoted $40 for me and my son, plus $5 for my dog. The man said the owners were away and the credit card machine wasn't working. About five hours later the office called to say I could come pay, and the woman on the phone was rude. When I got there, they wanted $50 with the dog included. After arguing about the extra $5 for half an hour, she agreed to $45.

The room was clean, private, and had everything I needed. The owners are lovely, and the shower pressure was just right. I felt safe there too. It's reasonably priced. I'll definitely come back. ❤️

The woman working there seemed really nice, but the motel itself was awful. The tub was full of so much gunk that I wouldn't use it, and I couldn't even tell what was packed into the jets. Black tape was holding the outside of the tub together. The walls were covered in things I can't begin to describe, and the toilet leaned so badly I was scared of falling off. There were holes in the sheets. Nastiest motel I've ever stayed in while visiting freeport.

I've stayed here many times over the past 20 years for business. The weekly and monthly rates are affordable, and I'd tell seniors to check on the senior discount. The rates are better than Super 8 or Baymont Inn, where prices have shot up for what seems like minimal breakfast. Check this place out before paying ridiculous rates elsewhere.
