Baymont by Wyndham Fremont

It’s on the outskirts of town and needs maintenance. There are lots of broken tiles and cigarette butts by the entrance. The rag under the coffee pot by the counter looked like it hadn’t been washed in weeks.

We ended up driving to Fremont as a last resort after our Holiday Inn reservation in Omaha was cancelled because of overbooking. They said they’d hold a room for us. Everyone at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful, and our room was clean. It was a pleasant stay.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay enough to book a room there for next year.

We got locked out of our room when we came back into the hotel, and our key stopped working again after we went back upstairs. It had to be replaced. The shower was disgusting, the microwave looked ready to fall because its shelf was nearly done, the headboard was completely off the wall and wedged between the bed and wall, and one bed had a large black and brown stain on the side. I didn’t get a photo of that. We went to the desk about the problems, then came back and found the key had failed again. The front desk woman looked at the room and laughed when we said we weren’t comfortable showering there. She did clean it, but said the grout marks were from wheelchairs and such because it was a handicap shower. Maybe that’s true, but they didn’t look like scuff marks to me. When we asked about changing rooms, they acted like it was a huge inconvenience to them and we were a bother. I really wouldn’t recommend this place.
