They said I’d get my $100 deposit back when I left, but five months later I still haven’t received it. The room was clean when I got it, though the bathroom lid was broken. I made sure to leave the place as I found it, bought cleaning supplies, and left it spotless. I’m still in Fremont and don’t care about the money anymore, so they can keep it to fix that toilet lid or whatever. If there was a problem with my address, they could have called or texted since they have my number. It’s unfair to say one thing and then not follow through. Be aware you might not get your deposit back. Make sure they actually give it to you before you leave town or the state.

The room was clean when I moved in, but the toilet was broken the same day and wouldn’t flush. I called Doug (owner), who sent his son to check it out. It took two days to get it fixed, and they had to replace the whole toilet. Water went everywhere during the repair, and Doug seemed unbothered while I cleaned up a bunch of water and the rest of their mess off my floor. I don’t get along with some of my neighbors either.

It’s an aged place and shows its age, so don’t expect a three- or four-star stay. Bring your own shampoo. It was clean, the AC was already running when I arrived, and the staff were polite.

My landlord refused to fix my door or its heater during the winter. He also shut off our power for four hours or more and changed the plug so we couldn’t use it. I finally got my door fixed, and I’ve documented everything. My wife and I FROM A DOCTOR. Three days after the doctor’s visit, I woke up beside her and she was deceased. I did CPR for 25 minutes. I asked my landlord why he hadn’t fixed my door heater during the winter, and his response, I quote, was: “I DON'T KNOW”

My dad called recently to reserve a room for a week. The guy who answered said it was booked, but when Dad called to confirm, the guy had given the room away. He even admitted he’d spoken to my dad about reserving it. Complete BS!
