Ramada by Wyndham Fresno Northwest

We usually book the Hilton, but tried this place at the last minute. Other Ramadas we've stayed at have been subpar, so this one was a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly, the lobby was clean, and the elevator looked outdated and a little scary but worked. The room smelled fresh, and although the carpets showed wear, they were clean. The bed felt comfortable and fresh, with no signs of creepy crawlies when we checked the mattress. The TV was hard to operate: we had to set the date and time manually, and the menu guide didn't work right. The bathroom was clean and had fresh towels. Breakfast was okay, though the area was small and tended to be hot. There were only a few cereal options and not many pastries, and the juice was watered down. The coffee was fresh, and being able to make waffles ourselves was a nice touch. We were impressed with the stay.

Our stay was very good, thanks especially to Clarisa at reception. She was lovely, super friendly, kind, and incredibly helpful. We'd never received such thoughtful care and support in a hotel. Thank you for making the stay so nice!

The couch was so comfortable, and I loved that there was a bathtub. The room had two refrigerators and a microwave, and it smelled lovely, not just like cleaning chemicals. The value was great, so I'll be staying regularly. There are loads of things to do nearby, and being right by the freeway makes getting to them even easier.

We slept really well, and breakfast was good. The room was clean except for two drinks left in the fridge by a previous guest. It was only a one-night stay, but the young man who checked us in was wonderful and gave us great tips on where to eat and the best way to get to Yosemite. If I'm ever in Fresco again, we'll stay here.
