Welcome Inn

I was disgusted when roaches started coming out of the AC, with another one on the wall nearby. The room had been booked for six nights, but I couldn't stand being there. I asked for a non-smoking room online, which was supposed to have a fridge and microwave. Instead, the room smelled like five cartons of cigarettes, and there was no fridge, microwave, or TV remote. They said I needed to pay a deposit to get a remote. The bathroom was awful, and there wasn't anything to wash my hair with. At the desk they said there were no refunds and no room changes. I brought up the false advertising and was given a different room right away, but still no refund. The new room was exactly the same. I'm still waiting for the manager to talk to his head honcho about my refund, though I don't think I'll get it.

I asked for my money back downstairs after seeing the room, but the guy refused, even though I'd been in there less than five minutes. He kept my $80, and I couldn't stay in that disgusting place. There was graffiti everywhere, even on the pillows, so I knew they hadn't been changed. The toilet still had piss in it when I walked in. It's the worst room I've ever seen rented out, and I've stayed in a lot of places across a lot of states. As I was leaving, some crazy b**** was trying to run over a boyfriend or something in the parking lot. I'm glad I got out, I probably would've been shot. Horrible. I'll never go back. Don't let anybody stay here. They should be condemned.

I only asked to switch rooms because the TV wasn't working, and Maria at the front desk started yelling at me and asking if I'd used the room. I was baffled that she was shouting instead of just asking me normally. Then she started asking things that had nothing to do with the room, like who I was and where I came from. She acted like I was just another one on the streets. I know the actual owners, and they're very nice people, but Maria is bringing them bad business. This place was horrible, and she was very unreasonable. I understand it's not in a very good part of town, but not everyone who comes through there is a miscreant.

The rooms are dirty and full of cockroaches, and some doors stick so badly you have to push hard to close them. On a few rooms the key doesn't work at all. They said there were lots of rooms out front on the second floor, but after we got the key, they told us the room was on the third floor and there were none on the second. We told them we had little kids, but they still put us up on top, and there were no smoke alarms in the rooms. You have to pay to get a TV remote. The office staff were rude and lied to us, and when we asked for our money back, they refused. This place sucks.
