Wyndham Garden Fresno Yosemite Airport

The staff were very nice, but I won't be staying there again. The property is old and worn, with stained, wrinkled carpets and wallpaper that's peeling or missing. The chlorine smell was really strong in the lobby and other areas. Don't bother with the “free” breakfast. It was terrible, and they should've paid me to try it. The eggs were okay, but the oatmeal was runny and gross, the coffee weak, and the potatoes cold. I don't know what the sausage-looking stuff was supposed to be, but it was nasty. I wouldn't recommend the place.

The breakfast is amazing, and the dining room staff member was really kind. With a huge indoor pool and courtyard, it seems like it'd be fun to visit in warmer months. The hotel is also right across the street from the Fresno airport, which made it super convenient when arriving late. The room and hallway carpets and furnishings seriously need replacing. At checkout, we dealt with a computer kiosk instead of a person.

The location is great, but when the hotel has events, guests need to be warned. People were slamming doors and coming and going all day, and I couldn't get a restful night. At 4 in the morning I had to get up for work, and people around me were hungover and complained when they heard me talking in my room. The young redhead working the desk Saturday night on the 21st knocked on my door like she was the police. Since I work in the medical field, she made assumptions about my activities and behavior. A phone call would've been more appropriate. She should be fired, and the phone records should be checked, because no calls were made to my room. She was lucky we thought, she's young, let it go this time, and didn't file a grievance with corporate. But next time we won't put up with it, and nobody else should either. We didn't expect motel 6 treatment in that kind of location.

The room was comfortable, but the bed was way too firm and the pillows too soft. I was glad there was a gym, though it was small and outdated. I couldn't find a laundry room, so I had to use an outside service.
