The trailhead is only about a quarter mile away, and Frostburg itself was a pleasant town to wander around. We walked less than a mile to a steakhouse, with several other places to eat also within walking distance. The room was spotless, and the AC handled a very hot day in the 90s well. Breakfast was good: I had scrambled eggs, potatoes, and toast, while my wife loved her pancakes. We had a very good stay, and enjoyed chatting with another guest over breakfast.

There was plenty of room to unwind, whether we wanted time by ourselves in the living room or to sit on the porch with other travelers. Jason made the place feel welcoming, with spacious, comfortable rooms and good beds. He also arranged helpful rides to or from our day's hike, and there was a choice of freshly made breakfasts. From our first phone call until he dropped us at the trailhead for our final walk, our stay at the Allegheny Trail House was fantastic. We highly recommend it.

Frostburg makes a handy base for exploring the many nearby state parks and hiking trails, and Amanda gave us useful tips on hikes and things to do. The B&B is also close to good restaurants and shops. It's an old house with history, so the floors creak and it has that old-house atmosphere. Everything was spotless, and breakfast was great, with vegan choices too.

For our Great Allegheny Passage bike trip, Jason from Allegheny Trail House drove my group and our five bikes from Cumberland to Pittsburgh. He was easy to coordinate with, showed up right on time, actually a little early, and was very courteous. I'd absolutely recommend Jason for transport. Thanks, Jason!

The food was outstanding, and the rooms were very clean with soft sheets. The beds leaned a little too soft for my taste, but they were still comfortable. Jason provided my husband and me with rental bikes in excellent condition and well suited to riding the Allegheny trail. We even used the pump from the emergency repair kit to help another cyclist. We had a lovely weekend away and plan to stay at Allegheny Trail House on future trips to Frostburg, or when we ride more of the trail.
