Red Roof Inn Gadsden

We felt safe, and the staff were super friendly. One of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in lately, with a great catfish house next door. Glad they allow pets. We'll be back on our fall trips to and from the cabin with our Parrot.

There are restaurants on both sides of the hotel, and lakes on either side too, though I'm not sure if you're allowed to go there. It would be nice if you could. The room was okay but could use an update. The bed was comfortable, and Netflix and YouTube worked on the television.

We rented three rooms while traveling as a group, and the rest of our party had no problems. Our first room had such a strong urine smell that it was awful. The desk clerk apologized a lot and moved us right away. The next room was clean, and we slept well. I also forgot a small bag of luggage when we left, and they called within an hour and held it until we passed by on our way home. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

My 3-year-old granddaughter and 2-year-old grandson were barefoot in room #104, and their feet turned BLACK from the filthy floor. I complained last night. The front desk clerk said housekeeping had left for the day and promised it would be mopped while we were out for a few hours. We came back around 1 pm today, and the floor still left BLACK marks on baby wipes. I returned to the front desk, and the housekeeper, owner, and clerk all came to the room. The housekeeper said she'd mopped, so I wiped the floor again with clean baby wipes and showed them. They told her to get a new mop head and do it again. I'm disgusted by the whole ordeal. People need to raise their standards. I won't stay here again.
