Mountaintop Lodge at Lake Naomi

The best thing for me is Carolyn, the innkeeper. She’s made for the job and makes you feel so welcome. This was my second stay in two years, and I liked it even more this time, especially with the new mattresses. Breakfast was delicious and the location is perfect. I gave the Spring room 4/5 stars because I don’t want anyone to mistake the place for a resort. The inn was built in 1928 and renovated in 2012, according to what I found online, and improvements are ongoing. The rooms are just right to me, but remember that rooms and hallways were smaller nearly a century ago. The toilets need one-ply paper. :) The mountain wi-fi can be patchy and weak, which is a blessing to someone who teaches mindfulness for a living. Since it’s often booked, consider yourself lucky if you get to stay. Get outside, use all your senses, and make memories that last. And be grateful when your cell phone doesn’t work. There are phones in the rooms.

We had a huge family reunion here, and the staff and management did a wonderful job making it a great getaway. They were personable, helpful, accommodating, and really went above and beyond. The grounds are lovely, with a nearby beach and lake, and there’s a gym and pickleball close by, along with a pool and a sauna that guests can use for free. The lodge also has a fireplace and games. Meals and service were excellent. Our bedroom in the main lodge was clean, efficient, and totally comfortable. It made for a perfect weekend, and we’ll be back.

I was there for a week visiting family, and the staff took care of anything I asked for right away. The place is cozy and quaint, with the conveniences you need, comfortable beds and pillows, and fluffy towels. Breakfast is included, made to order from a varied menu every day, with generous portions. There’s also an attached coffee shop, cable TV, and a refrigerator. You can make your own fire in the fire pit, too. I can’t say enough good things about the stay. Mountain Top Lodge is a great choice for a weekend away if you want to feel off the grid while still being close to everything.

Our room was charming, clean, and comfortable, and I loved the Midnight Munchies basket. The location felt private and lovely, with lots of extras. Breakfast is included, and it was really good, a homemade full breakfast with great choices on the menu. We left happy and full. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, friendly, and accommodating, with service that went above and beyond. Special thanks to Carolyn, who made the trip perfect and took care of every little detail. I had an amazing stay and hope to come back soon. I highly recommend it.
