We loved the drinks at the downstairs bar and the service was great, too. We stayed two nights in a clean, spacious room with a nice view, and it was easy to walk to a diner and pretty much everything else. We didn’t get room service, though. I’m not sure if we were supposed to put out a cleaning sticker, but we didn’t see one.

We’ve stayed twice, in July for orientation and again in August when my son moved onto campus. For a UF visit, this hotel is right in front of the main entrance. The rooms are quiet and spacious, with comfortable full-size beds, and the hotel is clean with welcoming staff. Breakfast at the No Name restaurant is delicious. Try the chicken quesadilla, you’ll love it.

I only got about four broken hours of sleep, and it affected the next day of my long work trip. Between the room conditions, air issues, and noise and light, it was one of the worst nights I’ve had in a hotel in years. The desk staff were polite, and they moved me rooms quickly, which I appreciated, but the rooms weren’t acceptable. At first, after several trips up and down from the 6th floor, my key still wouldn’t work. The front desk eventually let me into that room manually, but it had a strong unpleasant smell that didn’t go away with the AC running. I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping there. The second room had no odor, but there was noticeable dust on the surfaces, in the corners, and in the vents. I stay at a lot of Hilton properties and usually choose them for consistency. This one missed badly. I wouldn’t return unless management clearly improves maintenance and cleanliness.

The location is great and the amenities are nice, and the room was okay for the price. Still, it seemed like maintenance or housekeeping was lacking. There was no soap or paper in the main lobby restroom, and the automatic paper dispenser wasn’t working.
