For just about $89, this place beat the $350 Barrymore in Tampa by a mile. It was quieter and cleaner than the other hotels I'd tried on this trip, and check-in was the fastest I'd had. I arrived late and was treated kindly, with staff ready to get me booked. They even gave me a box of snacks, which weren't my favorites, but it was the only hotel this trip that offered snacks without charging way too much.

Everyone on staff was so friendly and accommodating, and I'm really grateful they made the stay so easy and stress-free. The room stayed at the temperature I wanted without needing to adjust the thermostat again. The bed was clean and comfortable, with lots of clean, comfy pillows. The shower stayed hot the whole time and drained properly.

We were in town for work and this was just what we needed after long days on the job. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff made check-in and the rest of the stay easy with their friendly, helpful service. It's a dependable, affordable, convenient place to stay for work travel or just a night away.

We brought our dogs for a quick event weekend, and I do appreciate that they allow pets. The room, though, was dirty: the bathroom floor didn't seem mopped, and the sheets were stained. We paid extra for a “premium room,” supposedly with better mattresses and snacks, but the beds were awful and there were no snacks. After a long day, we were hungry, so that was disappointing. The bathroom supplies were just as skimpy: one tiny ketchup-packet-sized shampoo for two people and two nights, with no conditioner, lotion, or body soap. When I asked the front desk guy if this was really a premium room because the beds were uncomfortable, I joked that maybe I was just getting old. He said yes, that was probably it. So, yeah, I'd take a Hampton Inn any day.
