Nina at the front desk was kind and welcoming, and Clarence the manager was courteous and helpful. They made the stay more enjoyable. The hotel was spotless and well kept, and my room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious each morning with good choices. The location worked perfectly for my visit, especially with Shands and the Mall so close.

SHAYLA was open and patient with me, and she was professional, kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. I felt safe and at home with her help. She also gave me the senior citizen discount, which she didn't have to do. I'm old and decrepit. Charles Baird, physical therapist, athletic trainer, Board certified technician in EMT and a pretty good guy overall.

The standout for me was the service. Jaheim at the front desk was very polite and handled everything we needed, and Tori, the housekeeping manager, was attentive and personable. The man at checkout was polite too. Altawn M, the breakfast attendant, was AMAZING, so friendly and kind first thing in the morning. I've worked for Marriott for four years, so I know good guest service, and this hotel has it down. The rooms, pool, and breakfast were all great as well. Good job, everyone!

The bathroom looked unfinished, almost like it was in the middle of renovation, and the whole place felt dirty and poorly managed. We arrived just before midnight after booking through Hotels.com, but even with two staff members at the desk, check-in took over 20 minutes. We asked for a higher floor because we aren't comfortable on the ground floor. They said that wasn't possible because we booked through Hotels.com, which made no sense. The sheets had visible stains, and since we were told we couldn't switch rooms, I went back to ask for clean ones and made the bed myself. There were more stains on the bed frame, like vomit or something just as disgusting. It was a terrible stay from start to finish, and we won't come back.
