We had a great time at happy hour, meeting three other couples. Breakfast was fabulous: quiche, strawberries, and homemade cinnamon rolls. The room was cozy, while the sitting room was large and beautifully decorated. The place felt quaint, clean, and thoughtfully furnished, and it’s only a few blocks from downtown. We can’t wait to go back.

The Blue Room, Room 1, had a comfortable king bed and was very quiet at night. It was spacious, with a sitting area, a closet full of luxurious robes, and a private bath. There are five rooms in all, I believe, and they’re on the second floor. Amal, the new innkeeper, welcomed us and showed us around when we arrived. We’d never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, but the Aldrich House lived up to its five-star reviews. This gorgeous 180-year-old home has a large living room, full dining room, kitchen, reading room, and a screened porch with a swing. We enjoyed cocktails before dinner and an amazing breakfast the next morning. My husband and I stopped in Galena on our way home from Madison, and we’re glad we tried the Adrich Guest House after reading its reviews. For shopping, hiking, golf, and sightseeing in Galena, we highly recommend The Aldrich House.

Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had, and we can’t wait to return. The owners were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Their beautiful, well-kept property has plenty of charm and is close to everything Galena offers. Our stay at the Aldrich Guest House was perfect.

The house was beautiful and peaceful, and our room felt comfortable and cozy. Our innkeeper was kind and welcoming, and the food was delicious. They also accommodated my food allergies so well. I’ll absolutely stay here again.

Amal made our 20th anniversary extra special by arranging a surprise flower delivery with my husband. Thank you for everything, Amal, and may God bless your continued journey. This historic place feels like home, and it’s just around the corner from Main Street shopping and tours. Breakfast was delicious, especially with my gluten allergy in mind. There was wine, cheese, and meats at evening happy hour, plus local chocolates in our room. We’ll definitely be back.
