Budget Inn Gallipolis

The beds were comfortable and it was quiet, so for the price I still think this place earns four stars. The rooms we had were spotless, though we did find a couple of slugs in ours, and guests checking in just ahead of us said they’d spotted a roach. Hard to know what to make of that when everything else looked so clean. It’s clearly an old motel that’s been renovated by new owners: the bathrooms have fresh tile, there’s new carpet, and other updates, but a few parts still look worn. Breakfast did the job, with a hot waffle maker, though it was mostly carbs. There was also a faint Indian food smell lingering around the lobby, which might put some people off.
