I was in the accessible room, and the bed was hard as a rock. The bathroom was a separate room with no heat, so the floor was ice cold. The shower rails weren’t properly secured, the towel rack was rusty, and wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The place definitely needs renovation. For what I paid, I expected more.

The manager on duty was kind and accommodating, and refunded all our money without arguing. That was the one good part. We couldn’t stay in the room for more than an hour, let alone the two nights we’d booked. The smell hit us right when we walked in. There were stains all over the comforter and carpet, mold across the bathroom ceiling, peeling wallpaper, exposed light fixtures, and an ironing board cover that belonged in the garbage. We were in town for a wedding, and I can’t imagine getting ready in that room. Thankfully, The Seaview golf resort down the street had availability. It cost more, but this place was just awful. I wish I could post pictures. Please find somewhere else.

Fine for one night if you’re visiting Smithville, and you can walk to the village. It took five minutes for the hot water to warm up enough to wash, and the faucet leaked.

It’s not a first-class hotel, so some things aren’t perfect. The rooms are clean, the parking is decent, and there were no bed bugs. The beds aren’t very soft, but that’s pretty typical.

A good budget hotel in a safe, convenient spot. The location is great. It’s okay for the price, but the bathroom needs renovation and the place needs a deep cleaning.
