Breakfast was fantastic, and we slept like babies in a quiet, roomy suite with a kitchenette. We were welcomed right away, heard a bit of the place’s history, and were shown to our room. Parking was right out front, and it’s close to the cruise terminals. George Manor is a 10 star Bed and Breakfast if you ask me. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely return before our next cruise. Thanks!

I loved sitting in the dining area while breakfast was brought to us, and the whole place made me feel cozy. George manor felt like stepping into a movie, and staying there was a lovely way to experience Galveston’s history in an historical manor. It’s within walking distance of the Strand and cruise terminals. Thanks George Manor!

Michael, Rosie, and Jeff made sure we had what we needed and shared the history with us. The George Manor was built in Maine, shipped to Galveston, and completed in 1865. It weathered the 1900 Storm and still has stories to tell. We spent three nights in Galveston and wanted a place with character and history, and found it here. The rooms had been updated within the last few years and were comfortable, and the English Breakfasts were a real treat. We walked on the beach morning and evening, went to the sandcastle building festival, and could easily reach the historic sights, wharves, Strand, and restaurants. Katie’s Seafood is a must. The owners also have The Studio Experience near the Strand, in the old Galveston Dairy built in 1912. They happened to be there when we stopped in. It’s a great place to hang out, with coffee, wine, vinyl, and killer ice cream. What a great long weekend in Galveston!

The staff were amazing and welcoming. This historic property has a lot of character, especially if you’re into history, and you can walk to great dining and entertainment. It does need some care, though. There’s noticeable deferred maintenance, and I’d hate to see such a fantastic place fall into disrepair.

The included full English breakfast was seriously delicious, and everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful. This historic place worked out really well before our cruise, just a few blocks from the Strand in downtown Galveston. They also have a shuttle to the port.
