Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Garden Grove/Anaheim South

The loud music from a little nightclub in a room at the front was another problem. The whole room smelled like urine, and the service and cleanliness were bad enough that I’d rate the place below one star if I could. The woman checking me in was very unprofessional. She handed me the form without making eye contact, dropped it before it reached me, then didn’t pick it up or apologize. After check-in, I went to collect my rental car. When I returned in heavy rain, I’d forgotten to get its license plate number for the front desk’s records. I was soaked, but when I asked if I could provide it in the morning, they said my car could be towed overnight if I didn’t report the number. Very inconvenient. I can’t believe this is an American hotel brand.

Because my friend got the dates wrong, I ended up staying in the RAMADA hotel lobby. It was the first time at a hotel that I felt disrespected by a receptionist’s questions. I had checked out and was waiting in the lobby for my friend to arrive. The receptionist asked whether I was staying or checking out. I said I was checking out. Then she asked how long I’d sit there and when I’d leave, saying I couldn’t sit there. I asked if I could wait for my ride, and she said yes, then told me to leave? This happened Friday, 11/28/2025, from 12:30 to 3:12.

The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are well maintained, but the walls are all an ugly yellow color and texture. The design has no taste, and the place is terribly managed. The receptionists don’t speak English. The breakfast room and food were absolutely terrible. I felt very sad just walking into that depressing dining room and seeing the awful products.

The lobby looked really nice, and the hotel was well kept. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I didn’t go into the hotel restaurant, but hearing people singing as I walked past made it sound fun.
