The river access is fantastic, and my husband fished his heart out all week. There are a few poles here to use. It’s a peaceful, homey lodge in a great location, with a well-stocked kitchen, and I really have no complaints. They could use more room for trash, especially for larger groups.

We rented the place for a retreat, and the layout and size worked perfectly. Everything was clean, and the bedrooms are separate from the main house, so it stays quiet when you’re sleeping. The spacious kitchen has plenty of refrigerator and freezer room. We loved looking out from the backyard and orchard at the river, and watching the stars at night. Hope I get to come back someday.

We weren’t sure what a community-style hostel stay would be like, but my wife and I had a fantastic time. The river is right beside the hostel, beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed eating, drinking, and chatting with the other friendly guests there. The staff were especially welcoming and lovely. There’s a nice community kitchen with some spices and condiments. Our room was basically just a bed, with a shared restroom, but it was clean and comfortable. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone in the area.

We booked at the last minute without knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be a lovely surprise. The land is breathtaking, right on the river, about 10 minutes north of Gardiner. Evenings on the lawn or porch, watching the sun set over the river and mountains, were incredibly calming. The staff were wonderful and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well kept. I’d gladly stay here again.

I stayed here with a wedding party. The lodge has a nice rustic feel, with a pleasant shared area for group meals and hanging out. The rooms were nice, with separate community bathrooms for men and women. There’s no AC in the rooms, but with the windows open and a fan running, it got plenty cool at night. For anyone checking, the location was open when I visited on 7/29/22, and flooding had not affected it.
