Fairfield Inn & Suites Gaylord

We had seven kids with us, ages 6 to 13, and all of the staff were so kind, from the front desk and housekeeping to the maintenance guy. Everyone was cheerful and glad to help with anything. The rooms were beautiful and clean, the beds comfy, and the accommodations, including breakfast, were fantastic. We were there with friends for a staycation after a significant loss in our lives, and the Fairfield staff of Gaylord brought a little calm to all our storms. Thank you. 10/10 recommended!

Our king suite had two TVs and a couch, which was nice for sitting down to eat, and the mattress was great. Breakfast had plenty of options. The front desk woman was friendly and accommodating, and the place felt relaxing as soon as we walked in. Clean, and our room was nice and clean too. A great experience.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean, but several things would have bothered me on a longer stay. The bed was too soft, the smoke alarm flashed brightly in the dark every few minutes, and the shower was mineralized and only dribbled. The toilet didn’t flush on the first try, so you had to wait for it to refill. If we’d been staying more than one night, I would’ve asked to change rooms or tried another hotel.

We spent three days here over the 2025 Christmas holiday to ski at Boyne Mountain Resort. It’s a convenient 30-minute drive, with plenty of stores, restaurants, and gas stations nearby. On our last day it snowed heavily, and the hotel had shovels and scrapers by the front door for clearing the car. The decor was modern, the staff very friendly, and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which changed menu items each morning. We’ll stay here again!
