The lakefront yard gave our group plenty of room to play games, sit together, and have campfires, and town and golf are close by. We had 12 adults, including grandparents and parents, plus kids, but the place never felt cramped. The owners have kayaks, games, and a well-stocked kitchen ready to use, so it felt like staying at a friend’s cabin. I’ve rented places with lots of restrictions, and this relaxed setup made for a nice stay. Our only vacation snag was spending half a day hunting for towels because the bathroom closet didn’t look like a closet. Maybe we weren’t very observant. We’ll rent it again.

We’ve been vacationing up north as a family for more than 18 years, and we’ve finally found the place we want to return to. This was our second year at this lovely home on Dixon Lake, and I’m already booking for next year, which will make three years in a row. The bedrooms are roomy and beautiful, and the basement is great for the kids to play or sleep. The owners are very nice and accommodating. Gaylord is nearby, with plenty of shopping and good places to eat. Karen, Utica, MI

There was plenty of room for us and our four adult children to spend time together without feeling crowded. The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. We had a perfect stay in this lovely, comfortable vacation home. I can’t think of a thing that needs improving.
