Days Inn by Wyndham Savannah Gateway I-95

Just needed a quick stop before carrying on toward Florida. It was easy to get back on the road since the hotel is only two seconds from 95. The room was clean, the AC worked, and there were fresh towels and toiletries. For the convenience and price, you can’t beat it.

I was pretty nervous about booking after reading the other ratings, and communication could definitely be better. But the hotel itself was VERY CLEAN, including the entrance. Breakfast was complimentary and basic, nothing special, but clean and enough to take the edge off hunger. For the price, that’s what it is. If you want a five-star meal, go to the Hilton. I’m happy.

I was traveling with two children, one of them disabled, and this room felt completely unsafe for them. It was filthy throughout, with dirty shower surfaces and fixtures, warped floors that seemed dangerous, and furniture that was shredded and stained. The heat didn’t work, despite the display showing 86 degrees. There were several live roaches crawling around, which I recorded on video, plus dead ones on the floor. The room looked nothing like the online photos. This place needs a full inspection and deep cleaning. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here under any circumstances.

There wasn’t even a curtain in the room, and a big outdoor spotlight shone right in, so we basically slept with the lights on. The bathroom wasn’t clean, the room reeked of an ashtray, and breakfast was really mediocre. I’d tell any traveller to choose another hotel. Sleeping in the parking lot would’ve been better.
