Ramada Savannah

It seems like a transit hotel. The pool water was warm, but most of the furniture was broken or in bad shape, and there was a lot of trash around the pool. The front desk clerk said the hotel had recently been renovated, though you couldn’t tell. The owner needs to clean this place up. The room looked and smelled clean at first, but there was mold on the curtains and peeling paint. The only beds were doubles, and the toilet took 20 minutes to fill slowly. Breakfast had waffles and bread but no butter or cream cheese; the juice machine was broken, and both the coffee and cereal were stale.

I’m here now, and I travel a lot. I’ve never left a bad review before, but this place deserves one. The air conditioning freezes up and doesn’t cool the room. The rooms are dirty and outdated, with missing baseboards in some places and grime and dust on the ones that are there. The bathtub was dirty, and the toilet barely flushes. They shouldn’t charge for rooms in this condition. I’ll be asking for a refund.

At checkout, things went smoothly, but they charged a second $100 deposit to my card. When I asked, they said it would drop off and refund in a couple of days, and there was nothing they could do. I’ll be asking for a full refund. This was a horrible hotel with terrible customer service. The receptionist was friendly enough at check-in and told me there’d be a refundable $100 security deposit. After we unpacked and went into Savannah for the night, we returned to a room that wasn’t cooling and had a soaked carpet. The front desk didn’t answer, so we went up and rang the bell over 20 times. The person who came out said, “oh my bad I was napping. Thank god yall woke me up”. After checking that we hadn’t damaged the AC unit, he moved us to another room. The TV in that room didn’t work, the rusty shower was disgusting, and none of the lights worked. The lamps still had price tags and cellophane wrappers on them. The AC there didn’t work well either. The pool chairs were broken, and the promised “hot breakfast” wasn’t available because their “kitchen was broken”.

It was a nightmare, and I’m asking for a full refund for the hassle my family and I went through. The room was dirty and smelled bad, including the carpet; the sink wouldn’t drain, and the bedding and comforters were dirty enough to make our bodies itch. The bathroom ceiling looked dirty, almost like a haunted room. A metal rod sticking out from the bed frame badly hurt my leg and my daughter’s. The room also had a loud AC that made it impossible to sleep. There was no iron on the ironing board, and the coffee maker had no container for heating water. The beds were twin size instead of the queen beds promised when booking, and there was no hot breakfast. The front desk service was the worst I’ve experienced, extremely impolite.
