Langdon Hill House

We loved being able to walk from Langdon Hill House to the town square, nearby restaurants and historic spots, and even the battlefield, a little over a mile away. Laura and Ron know the house and its history well, and they clearly care about making guests feel welcome. The lovingly restored place was spotless, and our room had everything we could need. There’s a sunroom stocked with homemade treats and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate any time. Laura and Ron serve a delicious breakfast, with a choice of times. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend and plan to return.

Laura and Ron made our stay so much fun. They arranged for a re-enactor to talk about parts of the Battle of Gettysburg, and put out wine and cheese at no charge. We also got to do a private paranormal investigation around the house through a contact they made for us. Nothing spooky happened, but it was a really engaging evening. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, too. You can tell how much heart they put into the place. We can’t wait to book again.

We stayed in the McKelip room, which was quiet and charming, with a gorgeous bathroom. The house was so cozy and inviting that we had a hard time leaving, and breakfast was amazing. Its downtown location makes it easy to walk to whatever you need. With just 4 bedrooms, there’s a nice balance of privacy and the chance to meet other people who love Gettysburg. We’re already planning another trip.

We spent a few days at Langdon Hill House over spring break, and it was such a lovely stay for my daughter and me. Laura laid out a beautiful, delicious breakfast, and Ron was always ready to help with anything we needed. They even surprised my daughter with something special for her birthday before we left. The house is spotless, smells lovely, and has all sorts of interesting little nooks to explore. It’s a great base for downtown Gettysburg, the visitors’ center, and the battlefield, and there’s free parking. We wouldn’t book anywhere else next time. Thanks, Laura and Ron!
