Cavalier Motel

The WiFi is bad, honestly. My fiancé and I kept getting kicked off, and when he asked at the front desk what was going on, they didn't answer, maybe they didn't understand him. They don't really come in to clean the room while you're there, either. One woman knocked about five times, even though they're only allowed to knock once. We also asked for towels. The owner, or whoever was at the desk, didn't have a key and asked if we could wait until the cleaning lady came in the morning. We said sure, but still never got the towels.

Parking was easy, the beds were comfortable, and the TV picture was crisp. The counter staff were kind and understanding, and quickly sorted out a few minor problems with the power outlets in our room. We spent two days at this charming little motel and had a really good experience. It's one of the better single-floor motels in the Glen Allen area.

I was shocked by how I was treated. As soon as I arrived to visit a friend staying here, the OWNER and two others yelled at me, asking why I was there, what room he was in, and telling me to leave my stuff in the car. Is that how you approach someone who might be staying there, or a guest of a customer? Then the owner's friend came back to me in her car before leaving the hotel, yelling that I wasn't allowed there and had to leave, saying it was from the owner. I would never recommend this place.

The weekly rate is too high for such a small room that hasn't been upgraded in quite a while. The toilet flushes once, then won't flush the next time. The shower drain was clogged when I moved in, though I cleaned it myself. In my opinion, the rooms aren't being cleaned often enough.
